The Spike - The Wild Bunch Wall Shelf was designed by Konstantin Grcic for leading Italian manufacturer Magis.
The Venice-based brand was established in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza. It produces unique pieces that are both functional and beautiful with a focus on metal and plastic. German designer Konstantin Grcic has been the recipient of a number of international awards and his work is on permanent exhibit in prestigious design museums like the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and MoMA in New York.
The Spike -The Wild Bunch Wall Shelf is an excellent example of the minimalist style that defines Magis products. Grcic took his inspiration for the piece from traditional workshop furniture. The Spike - The Wild Bunch Wall Shelf echoes the industrial origins of the workshop yet its clean lines are elegant and versatile. Its wall mount is made from glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene and the shelf itself can be simply clamped into place. Able to take loads of up to 40 kg, the shelf is available in a range of colours and materials, enabling users to create a variety of exciting looks. The Spike - The Wild Bunch works well as a stand-alone piece as well as in pairs or groups.
