Maggiolone LED Suspension Lamp
The Maggiolone LED Suspension Lamp has been created by Emiliana Martinelli for the brand Martinelli Luce. Meaning 'maybug' in Italian, Maggiolone is a creatively styled pendant lamp that provides bright but glare-free illumination for dinner tables, offices, and bedrooms alike.
The shade of the Maggiolone LED Suspension Lamp has a simple form featuring a dome with a small round aperture cut into its upper section. This dome has been crafted from aluminium metal and Martinelli has applied a variety of exterior finishes, including white and matt black. In either case, the interior of the shade is white coloured and includes a diffuser made from methacrylate plastic. This plastic element contains the integrated bulb and covers the whole interior, creating a solid basin of brightness.
The Maggiolone LED Suspension Lamp has a diameter of 60cm and measures 12cm high. The lamp suspends from a 350cm long cable which features three slender aluminium strands and a curving wire to carry electricity. A ceiling stud fastens the lamp to the ceiling and contains a DALI-dimmable push control, while the lamp as a whole weighs 3.5kg. It is capable of a colour warmth of 2,700K and a maximum brightness level of 3,200lm - sufficient to illuminate medium sized rooms.
