The Herb Rug 170x240cm has been created by Nani Marquina for the brand Nanimarquina. The Spanish designer started her self-named brand to exploit her design talent. She has followed in the footsteps of her father, celebrated industrial designer Rafael Marquina, in finding success as a designer. She has also succeeded in giving designers and craftsmen from all over the world a platform to showcase and find a market for their work. The Herb Rug 170x240cm was inspired by an appreciation of natural, pure fibre. It is made of handspun jute, a vegetable fibre that is lightweight, antistatic, durable and stain-resistant. It also provides thermal insulation, making it ideal for cooling the floor during hot summers and warming it up during cold winters. It is a hand-loomed dhurrie rug, which means that it has a flat surface and a weave that is formed by crossing the weft and warp strands over. The weaving is done by hand on a loom.
The Herb Rug 170x240cm has a length of 240cm and a width of 170cm. It has a density of 36.000 knots/m2 and a thickness of 0.8cm. It is available in a choice of colours. It should be cleaned with gentle vacuuming and professional dry cleaning when needed.
