Riva Table Foldable
The Riva Table Foldable was designed by Marie Schmid-Schweiger and Florian Viererbl for the manufacturer Conmoto. Originally founded in 1998 to sell fireplace accessories, this German company has quickly established itself as a producer of sophisticated luxury furniture and fittings for the home and garden. Based in Starnberg, Germany, Marie Schmid-Schweiger and Florian Viererbl have run a studio together since 2003. Winners of Red Dot and IF Awards, they create pieces with a clean, chic, contemporary aesthetic.
A characteristic example of their work, the Riva Table Foldable from Conmoto is composed of sharp straight lines and unadorned surfaces finished in a neutral monochrome palette. Measuring 72cm in height, 80cm in depth and 200cm in length, it is made from stainless steel and durable high pressure laminate. Leaves with under-supports can be extended at either end, increasing its total length to 320cm. A substantial family table without the heaviness and clutter of traditional furniture, the Riva Table Foldable is ideal for open plan kitchen/dining rooms where the emphasis is on modernity.
