AJ Oxford Table Lamp with Pin
The AJ Oxford Table Lamp with Pin has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Louis Poulsen. It is a play of linear and curved shapes. They combine to form a unique and intricate light fixture.
The AJ Oxford Table Lamp with Pin is a retake of the original design from 1963 reimagined with a pinned base. The lamp retains the dark-coloured round steel mount that caps the triple-layered diffuser made of white hand-blown opaline glass. They are attached such that they conceal the inside where a light source goes. When the lamp is turned on, it casts a warm, ambient halo of white light downwards. An L-shaped arm goes from the side of the metallic mount on top of the shades down to the base. Here, there is a small round disc, a metallic plate with openings for screws. This makes it possible to screw the disc onto a desk or other surface. The on/off switch is located on the side of the mount. It is not dimmable.
The AJ Oxford Table Lamp with Pin has a height of 41cm and a diameter of 22cm. Its base has a diameter of 5cm. It comes in neutral colours. It uses an E14 socket and the bulb has to be purchased separately.
