Egg™ Footrest Leather
The Egg™ Footrest Leather has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen.This stylish, timeless footrest was designed in1958. It has a curved, oval-shaped top that is dipped in the middle to make room for tired feet to rest comfortably, or it can double as extra seating. Its frame is made using a technique that the legendary Danish designer Jacobsen pioneered where an inner frame is padded with hardwearing cold-cured foam. Over this shell, the Egg™ Footrest Leather is upholstered with Essential leather or Aura leather. Essential leather has a fine grain finish that gives it a smooth, even look and a soft touch while Aura leather has a matte look and firmer texture. It is sanded with a synthetic grain which covers marks very well. Some stools are upholstered with breathable, full-grain Grace leather that feels luxuriously soft and has added character thanks to the unique markings.
The footrest has a star-shaped base that is made of satin polished aluminium whose shine makes a striking contrast against the leather upholstery. It stands on ferrules. The Egg™ Footrest Leather has a width of 56cm, a height of 37cm and a depth of 40cm. It has a seat height of 37cm. It comes in black, walnut, light grey or stone in either Essential, Aura or Grace leather upholstery.
